The Truth About Biden’s Exit is Finally Known

The REAL Reason Why Biden Dropped from the Race

President Joe Biden stepped down from the 2024 presidential race, citing significant pressure from fellow Democrats who feared his candidacy could jeopardize their own electoral prospects. During a candid interview with CBS' Robert Costa, Biden disclosed the internal party dynamics that led to his decision.

"What happened was a number of my Democratic colleagues in the House and Senate thought that I was going to hurt them in the races," Biden explained, shedding light on the concerns within his party that ultimately influenced his withdrawal from the race.

Biden acknowledged that the ongoing scrutiny over his health could detract from the broader Democratic campaign. "And I thought it'd be a real distraction," he admitted, suggesting that his continued candidacy might have overshadowed other Democratic races.

The decision to drop out followed what Biden described as a particularly challenging debate performance on June 27, which he attributed to illness and described as a "really, really bad day." His initial resolve to stay in the race was strong, famously stating that only "the Lord Almighty" could convince him to withdraw. Yet, by late July, Biden announced his decision to step aside, declaring it was "in the best interest of my party and the country."
